Golden gear got my 1989 Nissan Sentra smogged and road legal. There was an annoying issue with the fuel cap/gas tank venting but they were very patient and figured it out. Either I got very, very lucky, or Alex knew exactly what he was doing, perhaps a little of both, but adjustments were made, and the car made it through smog affordably and drama free. I noticed my old Sentra ran and idled a bit smoother afterwards. Expectations exceeded. Keep up the good work!

I stopped in to Golden gear to schedule a smog inspection appointment. I talked with Jim in the office and he was able to squeeze me in right then. I went for a walk around Ives Park and up to the library… As I was walking back, Jim called and said my car was ready and had passed the test. I was very grateful for the swift and friendly service. They have been excellent with troubleshooting, my car runs better now than when I bought it new. They have always been trustworthy and gone above and beyond to address problems with the car. They've also done their best to have a car available for me to use when I've had to leave it at the garage for a few days. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.
