I've been to Golden Gear twice in the past year for different services. Both times I noticed Alex's communication skills - he listened carefully and responded thoroughly. I got the feeling he cared about making a good relationship with me as a customer. At my most recent visit I asked him to make note of the maintenance that was needed for my car; he helped me prioritize the work so that it could fit in my budget. I'm very satisfied with the timelines and cost of the repairs so far. I recommend Golden Gear if you're looking for a fair, honest, and competant mechanic.

What a hidden little gem. I needed a smog check, of course right away because I had procrastinated... I call at 4pm on a Thursday, and they had me scheduled for the next day. I asked if the could also check my oil level and tire pressure. Done & done. I will be back for my next service and for replacing my rear breaks, as they need to be done before summer.
