I went in to have the “check engine” light diagnostics done, and it turned out to be a repair that would cost at least $1,800. Alex did some research online (on his own, no request made) and recommended that I take my Tundra in to the Toyota dealership and see if it was something covered under the warranty. So I took his advice, and now Toyota is doing the repairs for $0! Alex very easily could have told me that he could do the work, and I wouldn’t have been any wiser. His recommendation cost him $1,800 at least, but it won him a customer for life! Thank you, Alex!

Alex was so nice and generous. I goofed up my calendar and arrived four hours late then I was worried that i couldn't get a ride back so I showed up a half hour early. They accommodated me, did a great job and were very kind.

I took my 1993 Mazda pickup to Golden Gear because it didn't pass smog (2 times). Alex, the owner, told me what he would do and did it in a timely manner just as he said he would. It passed really well. I'm sold on Golden Gear and have recommended it to others. Thank you, Alex and Golden Gear.

Very friendly and knowledgable. Got an appt. for the next day. Honest - when they could not figure something out, they offered to keep the car a couple of days and work after closing in the evening, to completely take apart components and understand the problem, then fix it. Would recommend!
