So glad I chose Golden Gear for my smog appointment!! I got an appointment when it was convenient for me and the staff was very friendly when I arrived. My appointment was for a smog but I noticed my brakes were acting strange and asked them to look at my brakes. They were so accommodating and helped me out. I will definitely go to Golden Gear Automotive again! Definitely Recommend

We just moved to the area, and needed to find a reliable good, honest, experienced mechanic. We did online research and noticed that Golden Gear had just about all 5 star ratings. We took both our cars their recently for their first service at Golden Gear. Between Alex, the owner and Chip the manager they seem like straight shooters. They performed a regular service on both our vehicles, and free diagnostic check. The let us know of any immediate needs and what to look forward to in either the near or distant future. So far so good, and we will use them for our car regular maintenance & repairs. Bonus: Their downtown location is convenient to our new place and next door to one of our two favorite Mexican Restaurants in Sebastopol- "El Favarito."
